BLS & CPR Training for Future Healthcare Professionals
This course is designed for individuals preparing to enter the medical field or currently working in educational settings. Participants develop critical lifesaving skills, confidence, and professional readiness while learning the latest CPR and BLS procedures based on American Heart Association guidelines. This training provides a strong foundation for a successful and impactful career in healthcare.

Heartsaver® CPR AED Training

The Heartsaver CPR AED course trains participants to give CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).

Who should take this course?

The AHA Heartsaver CPR AED Course is designed for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements.

Basic Life Support (BLS) Course – American Red Cross

The Basic Life Support (BLS) course from the American Red Cross is designed for healthcare professionals and first responders who require advanced, up-to-date training in lifesaving techniques. Based on the latest scientific guidelines, this course equips participants with the skills and confidence to respond effectively to cardiac and respiratory emergencies.

Participants will learn how to deliver high-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants, use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), provide rescue breaths, and perform airway obstruction techniques — both in solo and team-based response scenarios.

Course Includes:

  • Hands-on training with professional-grade equipment

  • Skills assessment and realistic scenario-based simulations

  • Official American Red Cross BLS certification (valid for 2 years)

  • Access to up-to-date digital resources and learning materials

Adult First-Aid CPR/AED 

 

This course will prepare you to recognize and care for a variety of first aid breathing and cardiac emergencies involving adults and meets OSHA/workplace requirements. This is a blended learning course including an online portion and an instructor-led classroom skill session. The online portion must be completed prior to attending the in-class portion and must be taken on a PC or tablet with a high speed Internet connection. Allow approximately 2 hours 5 minutes to complete the online portion. Upon successful completion of this course you will receive a digital certificate for Adult First Aid/CPR/AED valid for two years.

This is a Skills Testing Session Only.  It requires the completion of the BLS Online Heartcode Course and the Skills Testing Portion. Please ensure you have completed the BLS Online Heartcode Course b attending the Skills Testing.

American Heart Association – BLS Instructor Course

Become an American Heart Association (AHA) certified Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor and gain the skills and credentials to teach life-saving techniques to healthcare providers and emergency responders. This instructor-level training prepares you to deliver high-quality CPR, AED, and respiratory emergency care for adults, children, and infants, in accordance with the latest AHA guidelines.

As a certified BLS Instructor, you will be authorized to teach official AHA BLS Provider courses, issue certification cards, and support the development of life-saving skills within your community or organization.

Course Includes:

Training conducted by an AHA-certified Instructor Trainer
Access to official instructor materials and digital resources
Hands-on practice with professional training equipment (manikins, AED trainers, etc.)
Guidance on course delivery, student evaluation, and classroom management
BLS Instructor Certification valid for two years

Current AHA BLS Provider certification
Completion of the AHA Instructor Essentials online course prior to in-person training

Friends & Family CPR

 

This is a Friends & Family CPR Course that teaches the basics of CPR and First Aid for Adults, Children, & Infants. This is a non-certification course for those who wish to gain the knowledge and life-saving skills of CPR but do not need a formal certification.

The goal of the HSI All Ages First Aide / CPR/AEDtraining program is for participants to gain or improve knowledge and skill proficiency in adult first aid and/or CPR AED for adult, child, and infant.

This program includes flexible instructional tools for developing proficiency via demonstration and prompted practice, including scenario-based problem-solving exercises with feedback.

HSI All Ages First Aid | CPR AED reflects the latest resuscitation science and treatment recommendations published by the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR), and it conforms with the 2020 American Heart Association (AHA) Guidelines Update for CPR and ECC and the annual Guidelines Update.
